Medical service

Diagnostic Tests

Blood Tests: Kidney Function Assessment

  •  BUN
  •  Creatinine and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)

Blood Tests: Complication Assessment

  •  CBC
  •  Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Calcium, Phosphate
  •  Serum protein
  •  Cholesterol
  •  Blood glucose and HbA1c

Urinalysis

Urinary protein is a key marker of kidney disease. Patients with chronic kidney disease require ongoing monitoring, including:

  •  Urinalysis and urine sediment examination
  •  Urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR)
  •  Urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR)

Radiological Investigations

  •  Renal Ultrasound
  •  Kidney Doppler
  •  CT Scan
  •  Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)
  •  Renal Scan (Nuclear Medicine)

Kidney Disease Management

  • Slowing disease progression by treating underlying causes such as diabetes, hypertension, glomerulonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, and nephrolithiasis, as well as promoting smoking cessation and managing proteinuria
  • Managing complications, including anemia, electrolyte imbalances, and bone mineral disorders

Renal Replacement Therapy

We offer a full range of renal replacement therapies for outpatient, inpatient, and critically ill patients, using modern technology that meets the highest safety standards.

Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis is performed using vascular access and an ultra-pure water system for effective waste removal. The service is available in two modalities:

  • Conventional hemodialysis
  • Online hemodiafiltration (Online HDF) for enhanced clearance of both small and large molecular weight toxins

Dialysis in Critical care

We provide specialized dialysis therapies for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), tailored to each patient’s clinical condition.

  • Hemodialysis (HD): 4–5 hours per session
  • Sustained Low Efficiency Dialysis (SLED): 6–8 hours per session

Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD)

Dialysate is delivered into the peritoneal cavity through a surgically placed catheter, with waste exchange occurring across the peritoneal membrane.

Plasmapheresis A therapeutic procedure to separate and remove plasma from the blood.

Kidney Transplantation From healthy living donors. (Please note: legal restrictions apply for international patients.)

Patient Education & Support

  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Program Nephrologists and a multidisciplinary team provide patient education and counseling to slow disease progression and prevent complications
  • Nutritional Counseling Guidance on dietary management, including restriction of protein, salt, phosphorus, and potassium to prevent compilcations.
